What is hosting?
For people to be able to look at your website, the website pages must be located on a computer that is connected to the internet as a server. The vast majority of website pages are stored on computers run by companies which specialise in providing web servers. These companies are called hosting companies and they charge an annual fee for allowing you to have your web pages on their servers. The benefit of using a hosting company is that you are dealing with experts and you do not have to worry about the technicalities of how anybody anywhere in the world can see your website.
You are free at any time to transfer your website from a particluar host to any other host but you would not normally receive a refund for any unused hosting time and you may have to pay an administration fee if you require assistance in doing the transfer.
With our 50 euro introductory offer, you have hosting for one year included in the price. To continue your hosting after the first year, you will have to pay a new fee which will be dependent on the length of time you want to extend and the rates at the time of renewal. Renewing for short periods is more expensive than opting for longer renewals. At present, our renewal fees are
| 1 - 6 months: | 15 euros per month |
| 7 - 9 months: | 12 euros per month |
| 10 - 11 months: | 10 euros per month |
| 12 months: | 7 euros per month |
If you fail to renew your hosting, your website will no longer be accessible once your existing hosting term has expired. (We will give you plenty of notice before this happens.)
